POLICE have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision on the M40 which left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

Officers were called at 10.59pm on Saturday, July 25 to reports of a collision between a black Suzuki motorcycle and a white people carrier on the M40 southbound between junctions 3 and 2.

The motorcyclist, who is in his 30s, had entered the motorway from junction 3 (High Wycombe) going southbound and the collision occurred shortly after.

He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where he remains with serious injuries.

Investigating officer PC Danielle Layton of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing based at Amersham said: “I am re-appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this collision, saw the motorcyclist shortly before the incident or witnessed the aftermath, to please get in touch as you may have important information.

“If you were driving in the area at the time and have dash-cam footage, please check to see if it captured the incident or the aftermath.
