Thunder and lightning storms caused chaos across the county once again last night - with heavy rain resulting in flash flooding for the second time this week.

As the sky lit up with lightning forks almost continuously at some points and thunder rolled in, heavy rainfall saw some parts of the county flood again.

There were floods on Wednesday afternoon which saw cars stranded in knee-deep water in places like the bottom of Sawpit Hill in Hazlemere, Holmer Green and West Wycombe.

On Thursday night, the heavy rain flooded streets - and even houses - in parts of Bourne End, with Cores End Road shut off by police and deep water on The Parade and other residential streets.

Some homes even lost power in other parts of the county.
