Armed police were called to Marlow amid reports a man had a gun last night.

Hillside Road was cordoned off by officers after they were called to a fear for welfare incident just after 7pm on Tuesday evening.

It was reported a man had a firearm.

A 62-year-old man from Marlow was arrested at the scene.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said armed officers attended and the incident was "resolved safely" with no injuries.

The arrested man is currently in police custody.
