A man has been arrested after a car ploughed into vehicles parked on a driveway in Wooburn Green.

The smash, on Sunday evening at around 5pm, left the cars parked on the driveway outside a house in Watery Lane destroyed.

Jodie Stottor said her grandparents, who live at the Watery Lane house, have seen a string of crashes outside their home over the years and said something needs to be done to prevent any further incidents.

The two cars on the driveway, which belonged to her uncle and her grandad, have been written off and the crash also partially damaged the garage.

Ms Stottor said her family members use the front garden often and she "hates to think what would have happened" had they been there at the time - urging everyone who uses the road to take caution.

Sharing the shocking images on social media, a number of residents commented that more safety measures need to be put in place on the road as it is always busy with parked cars.

The cause of the crash has not been confirmed, but Thames Valley Police said that a 54-year-old man has been arrested in connection with it but has not been charged at this stage.

Buckinghamshire Council were approached about adding extra safety measures on the road but would not comment while a police investigation is ongoing.
