The eagle-eyed might have noticed certain MPs, including Boris Johnson, wearing three strands of wheat on their blazers at PMQ's this afternoon.

The idea is actually to support Back British Farming Day - which runs to celebrate the UK’s farming industry.

Now in its fifth year, it gives farmers an opportunity to promote the work they do.

Oxfordshire chef Raymond Blanc even got involved in the day. 

He tweeted a picture of him sporting his wheat pin saying: "I'm very proud to wear the wheat-pin badge to support and celebrate British farmers, local produce and beautiful British ingredients we are so truly lucky to enjoy."
