We have delved back into the archives this week and found some old photos of some well known Wycombe roads.

This first photo from June 1960 is looking north west from the bottom of White Hill in Wooburn and shows Whit Monday traffic on the A40 near Knaves Beech.

The wide sweeping road is still recognisable now.

The recognisable sight of the Guildhall in High Wycombe tells us this photo was taken in Church Street.

You can see shops and the old Black Boy pub in this photo from 1930.
