Buckinghamshire Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.

They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.

Here are four of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.

Former Water Research Centre, Henley Road, Medmenham

A proposal has been put forward to demolish the existing water research centre on this site.

If the application is given the go-ahead, in its place new one-bedroom home will be built.

Also being built would be a new barn/garage, a boat house and a pump room/summerhouse.

The Old Laundry, 1 School Lane, Medmenham

Also in Medmenham, a proposal has been forward to carry out major alterations on a listed building.

The alterations will include the partial removal of the existing rear extension and the creation of a new two-storey rear extension.

Also, the existing garage will be removed, in order to erect new ‘ancillary accommodation’ to the North West corner of the site.

Land South Of 1 Seymour Court Road, Marlow

A planning application has been submitted to build a new block of flats in Marlow.

The new apartment block will comprise of four one-bedroom flats, four parking spaces and bin and cycle storage – should the application be given the green light.

73 Hughenden Road, High Wycombe

A plan has been submitted to convert the current property in order to create new flats.

The construction, if approved, will consist of part single, part two storey side and rear extension.

This would be done in order to convert the existing property into four self contained flats, with the creation of two parking spaces, four cycle spaces, a 1.8m close boarded fence and a new refuse and recycling area.

In it's place, a single storey building with accommodation in the roof space comprising a mix of 15 flats and houses of age-restricted over-65 accommodation will b built.

Accompanying parking and amenity space and the creation of new access will also be built.
