A driver in Slough tried to perform a U-turn on the motorway after driving down a closed lane, having realised that the motorway was closed.
The M4 was closed last weekend in both directions between junction 7 and junction 8/9 to allow a bridge over the road to be demolished.

One driver was reportedly unaware of the closure, and drove between the cones on the closed lane, before carrying out the U-turn.
The driver received a fine and was given guidance on the roadside by officers from the TVP road policing unit.
