An alleged shoplifter threatened police officers with a syringe yesterday as he attempted to escape in Iver.
The man from Hillingdon was spotted by a officer from a neighbourhood policing team, who then attempted to flee after brandishing the syringe.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported and officers from incident response and the neighbourhood team were on the scene quickly.
They subdued the male by using a taser and arrested him.
