AlMOST three dozen new homes are set to be built in Bracknell.

Last week three separate planning applications for flats and apartments at Brants Bridge were approved by development chiefs at Bracknell Forest Council (BFC).

The permissions mean 32 new homes will go up following a string of changes at three former office buildings at the site.

Forth House will be extended to accommodate nine new one-person flats.

Bracknell News:

Tamar House will have a new floor added to also accommodate nine flats.

Finally, Clifton House will have two floors added after its existing roof is demolished in order to make space for 14 apartments.

One of the applications was initially listed as a permitted development application back in 2017, which means applicants had hoped to convert the new homes from offices without needing proper planning permission from the council.

However, BFC claimed applicants did not have the correct rights to do this so full planning applications were submitted.

Fast forward three years and all three proposals have finally been given the go-ahead by BFC.
