CLOCKS are going back this Sunday meaning that thanks to daylight savings we gain an extra hour to enjoy our weekend. But what is there to do?

On the last Sunday of October the clocks 'fall back' which means that this Sunday, October 25, the clocks will go back an hour at 2am.

Clocks on smartphones and computers should update automatically but older analogue clocks and devices may need to be changed manually.

Daylight savings brings darker, longer nights and shorter days - clocks will go forward and we will lose an hour on Sunday, March 28 2021.

Luckily, there's loads to do here in Brighton whether you want to stay in or go outdoors.

Here are some of the things you could do with that extra hour this weekend:

Rock 'n' Roll with Me - David Bowie exhibition, Brighton Museum and Art Gallery

The Argus:

A mural in Brixton of Bowie (Anthony Devlin/PA)

The Rock 'n' Roll with Me exhibition shares an intimate look into David Bowie's iconic life.

Sharing memories from Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane and the ground-breaking Diamond Dogs’ tour across the USA, Japan and the UK via Russia to Bowie’s first major film The Man Who Fell to Earth, and the recording of Station to Station.

The exhibition gives a glimpse of a close friendship, and life on the road with one of the greatest rock stars of all time.

All tickets must be pre-booked before arrival.

Gruffalo adventures, Wakehurst

With the extra hour we all get on Sunday, what better way to spend it than in the great outdoors.

You could take the whole family for a walk at Wakehurst and follow the 'Gruffalo trail'.

Fancy dress is not compulsory but is encouraged - why not dress up as the mouse and try and find the real Gruffalo?

Brave explorers might even get the chance to encounter The Gruffalo himself in the form of a costumed character making timed appearances.

There are multiple events taking place, the Gruffalo trail is free but must be pre-booked.

Additionally there is the 'Gruffalo Crumble Hunt' which costs £4 per person.

Bottomless brunch

The Argus:

What better way to wind-away a Sunday than by booking in a spot with your friends for bottomless brunch?

We're lucky enough to be spoiled with choices for bars and restaurants in the city, many of which serve the modern weekend tradition.

If you're a fan of something a bit extra why not head to Shelter Hall Raw for a range of street food brunch menus topped off with two hours of free-flowing cocktails for £30 per person.
