SEVERAL Aylesbury food outlets have been rated by hygiene inspectors as restaurants, takeaways and other eateries try to get back to normality.

Inspections by local authority food safety inspectors were put on hold at the start of the coronavirus lockdown but now establishments are welcoming officers back into their kitchens.

Over the past month, six Aylesbury eateries have been given rankings based on their food hygiene and safety, structural compliance and confidence in management.

They are also given a score from 0 (urgent improvement needed) to 5 (hygiene standards are very good).
