A man has been thrown behind bars for two months for breaking into a High Wycombe shop and soiling a bed.
Shailesh Kumar Patel, 43, of no fixed address, broke into the now-closed Beadle and Crome shop on Oxford Road on September 22.
He also damaged an alarm system, door and glass panel on the door, a wall and soiled a bed – causing damage worth around £2,265.
Patel was charged with burglary with intent to steal and criminal damage and pleaded guilty to the crimes on September 23.
At a Wycombe Magistrates’ Court hearing on September 24, Patel was sent to prison for eight weeks for both crimes.
He was also ordered to pay £250 in compensation.
Beadle and Crome’s shop is now shut but is still operating online. The company is family-run and has been operating since 1926.
