The man, also from the town, was arrested by Thames Valley Police on suspicion of rape on Thursday, July 25, 2019, and was released on conditional bail.

However, TVP confirmed to the BFP on October 22 that no further action will be taken against the man due to ‘insufficient evidence’.

A TVP spokesperson said: “Officers carried out a thorough investigation into this case.

“Following a review of all available material, it was deemed that there was insufficient evidence for a charge to be brought, and the case has been filed pending further information coming to light.

“There will be no further action against the arrested man.”
