Three further arrests have been in made in connection with a murder investigation in Aylesbury.

The arrests are in connection with an incident in Lembrook Walk, Aylesbury, near to the Edinburgh Playing Fields, on Wednesday at around 9.30pm.

Police attended the scene following reports that two men had been reportedly assaulted.

Two men were taken to hospital where tragically, one died of his injuries.

The other man has since been discharged from hospital.

Formal identification has yet to take place and a Home Office post-mortem examination was conducted yesterday (October 30).

The results of which are pending further medical opinion.

The three men, all from Buckinghamshire, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

They remain in police custody at this time.

Three other men who had previously been arrested remain in custody as a warrant of further detention has been granted while investigations continue.

Senior Investigating Officer Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown, head of Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, said: “We are continuing this investigation and have made three further arrests.

“The next of kin of the man who has died continue to be supported by specially trained officers, and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.

“On behalf of the family, we would request that their privacy is respected while they come to terms with what has happened.

“I can re-assure the local community again that we believe the victim and offenders were known to each other and there is no suggestion of any wider threat to the public.
