With the country back in lockdown, heading to the pub for a socially-distant drink is forbidden for the next month, so looking at them will have to do instead.
This photo from around 1970 shows the Old Queens Head with chairs and tables on the forecourt at the Hammersley Lane/Church Road junction in Tylers Green - a very similar modern scene taken in happier times!

This second photo was taken December 1968 and shows The Antelope in Church Square, by All Saints and the Little Market House.
You can also see the premises of G.A.Wood next door. The pub is still loved by many to this day.
