This week we continue with the theme and show more pictures relating to the history of the Woolworths store in High Wycombe.
Many readers might think - 'I recognise the phrase “The Wonder of Woolworths”'.
It was the title and theme of a TV advertising campaign by Woolworth’s in the 1970s.
A similar phrase was also used in the title of the book published in 2009 “The Wonder of Woolies: Memories from Both Sides of the Counter of Britain’s Best-loved Store”.
The book is still available, with copies for purchase online.
