With the country in lockdown again, cinemas are closed for the foreseeable future.
So this week, we take a look at much-loved picture houses in High Wycombe before they disappeared.
This first photo from around 1935 shows Frogmoor, featuring the popular Palace cinema on the right.
Sadly, the cinema was demolished around 1965. The Chilterns Centre now stands in its place.

This second picture, from April 1965, shows the Odeon cinema looking west down Castle Street, High Wycombe.
It was demolished in February 1969 and replaced by Woolworths in 1972. Today, The Gym Group has taken over the premises.
