Buckinghamshire Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.
They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.
Here are five of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.
Chelwood, Wharf Lane, Bourne End
A planning application has been submitted to erect a new single three a part three storey side, part single and part two storey rear and single storey front extensions.
This has been submitted in order to convert the existing property from a site containing four flats into a five-bedroom home.
Land at Hillcroft, Loosley Hill, Loosley Row
A proposal has been put forward to build a new four bedroom detached house to side/rear garden of Hillcroft.
Included in the plans are new vehicular access, creation of drive/parking area and erection of garden store at rear.
This is an alternative plan to previous applications for the site.
70 Wycombe Road, Marlow
The existing property and garage at this Marlow property could be demolished if this planning application is agreed.
In it's place, there will be an erection of a new detached replacement home.
Five Gates, Dobsons Lane, Fawley
This listed building has applied for major new improvements to the property.
Included in the application is the proposal of an erection of a replacement garage with loft room and a new pool house
The applicants also want to extend to existing annexe, relocate, enclose and hard surface the tennis court allowing for root protection zone as well as carrying out landscaping work in the garden.
Hedsor Court Farm, Sheepcote Lane, Hedsor
This farm in Hedsor has submitted a plan to demolish the equestrian and existing dwelling and erect a one-and-a-half storey four bedroom dwelling.
This new property would include a with garage and a detached stable building.
The applicants also wish to re-surface the driveway and create a new driveway and access with entrance gates and piers.
