The driver was later reported and was issued with a S59 warning for careless and anti-social driving.

Thames Valley Police Chiltern & South Bucks tweeted: "Unfortunately for them [the driver], they failed to spot the three officers.”

A burnout, which is also known as a peel out or a power brake, is when drivers deliberately spin the wheels of their car whilst keeping the vehicle stationary.

The aim is to cause the tyres to heat and tear up which could lead to fires.

This is due to the friction of the wheel spinning against the tarmac whilst the car is staying still.
