FOUR people have died after testing positive for coronavirus.

Three deaths in Oxfordshire were announced by the government on Sunday and one yesterday.

The data, which is updated daily, reveals the number of people who have died within 28 days of a positive test result.

Separate NHS England data showed there were no new deaths at any of the hospitals in the county.

So the four people who have died either passed away at home or in a care home.

The victims were among 89 deaths recorded across the South East this week.

There have also been nearly 100 new coronavirus cases in Oxfordshire.

The number of people who tested positive on Monday:

UK - 13,329

Oxford - 33

Oxfordshire - 93

The number of positive cases on Sunday:

UK – 16,668

Oxford – 32

Oxfordshire – 113

This brings the total number of people who have tested positive to:

UK – 1,314,888

Oxford – 3,144

Oxfordshire – 9,783

The rate of infection is now 108.5 per 100,000 residents in the population, lower than the national average.

The death toll currently stands at:
