POLICE are looking for a man who repeatedly hit somebody over the head at Sainsbury’s.

At around 8.45pm on October 22, a man in his 20s got into an argument with another man in the queue at the supermarket on Park End Street.

He was struck over the head several times before he left the shop.

He didn’t need to go to hospital.

Police have now released a CCTV image of a man who might have ‘vital information’.

Investigating officer PC Stephanie Greenfield, based at Cowley station, said: “If you recognise this man, or if you think it could be you, please get in touch."

“Likewise, if you witnessed this incident or have any information, we would like to hear from you.
