Waddesdon Manor have cancelled their Christmas event due to the new tier 4 restrictions, however, they look to re-open on January 6.

The manor has taken the decision to close entirely over Christmas and refund all customers booked in for events including the Winter Light evenings scheduled for January.

Starting on January 6, Waddesdon will re-open and will be open every day throughout the entire month instead of usually being open on just weekends.

Opening hours are being extended to Wednesday – Sunday, 12noon – 7.30pm with limited numbers of tickets in each hourly arrival slot and last admission at 5pm.

The hope is to give everyone that lives in the area an opportunity to exercise during a time when restrictions are only tightening.

When the site reopens there will be Winter Light features such as the Winter Light trail and Manor façade illuminations from dusk to visit.

It also gives people the chance to meet the manor’s new recently arrived Elephant family.

Toilets and takeaway outdoor food and drink will be available at both the Manor and the Stables from 12noon through until 7pm.

All visitors, including National Trust members who have free admission, need to book an arrival time slot in order to help stagger admissions and provide a safe experience for everyone.
