A house in High Wycombe was nearly burgled on two occasions just before Christmas.

The property on Hamilton Road saw people try and enter the house between 1pm and 2pm on Monday, December 21 and again at 12.30pm, on Tuesday, December 22.

Investigating officer C6778 Glen Mulhern of the Investigation Hub based at High Wycombe said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information to call our 24-hour enquiry centre on 101, quoting reference 4320043957.

“If you don’t want to speak directly to police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

“No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
