The team at the Old Station Nursery in Iver has donated to the village's foodbank - with lots of help from the children.

Nursery manager Yamuna Jayasinghe said: “This has also been a fantastic opportunity for the children to learn about the meaning of charity and helping others. It has been lovely to hear about the children choosing which food items to buy at the shop to donate to the food bank at nursery.

The nursery in Iver High Street offers care for children aged up to five.

Chancellor Ann Mayling from The Ivers Parish Council visited to collect the donations.

She said: “It was a pleasure to meet Yamuna and Amy - the manager and deputy manager - today and to collect the boxes of donated items.

"A big thank you to all the parents, grandparents, children and staff at The Old Station Nursery in Iver for this fantastic contribution to our foodbank. We appreciate your support and all of your donations will be distributed over the next few weeks to local families and individuals."

The Old Station Nursery plans to continue its support to Iver Food Bank in the New Year.
