A van driver is facing disqualification after reportedly being almost twice the drink-drive limit and being caught speeding at 95mph on the M40 on New Year’s Day.
Thames Valley police said the driver “almost lost control” of his vehicle but was “stopped safely” just before 9pm on the southbound carriageway between J5 (Stokenchurch) and J4 (High Wycombe).
TVP Roads Policing tweeted: “The driver of this van faces a lengthy disqualification after being recorded at 95mph on the M40 J5>4 and being nearly TWICE the drink drive limit on New Years Day.
“The driver almost lost control but was stopped safely.”
