Buckinghamshire Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year. Here are five of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.

Wendover Arms Hotel Desborough Avenue High Wycombe

A High Wycombe hotel has submitted a plan to extend its capacity with 18 new bedrooms.

The link extension would be completed alongside alterations to the parking and further external works.

29 Marlow Bottom Road, Marlow Bottom

A householder in Marlow has submitted an unusual planning application which outlines plans to construct a new treehouse on the property.

The treehouse would be completed with two satellite desks and a dining platform. A climbing wall would be constructed on the side of one of the satellite decks.

Silver Birches, Hawks Hill, Bourne End

A proposal has been submitted to demolish the existing property on this site in Bourne End.

If the application is granted, a new replacement will be built, complete with a new retaining wall. Alterations would also be made to both the existing driveway and the turning point.

Station Court, Station Road, Bourne End

Plans to extend Station Court in Bourne End for the purpose of adding two additional flats to the property have been submitted.

A first and second floor extension could be built over the undercroft parking in order to facilitate the provision of two two-bedroom flats.

External alterations are also planned, including the installation of balconies and insertion of additional windows, car and cycle parking, bin storage and landscaping work.

High Hedges, Cryers Hill Road, Cryers Hill

Another property could be demolished in order for a new replacement dwelling to be built, should this application be approved.

The replacement dwelling would include a detached garage and  two additional parking spaces.
