EXTENSION plans for a residential property are to be scrutinised because the applicant is a council employee.

Mr and Mrs Scott and Stephanie Penney have submitted a planning application for their two-storey, semi-detached property on Salisbury Close in Princes Risborough.

The pair seek to construct a single-storey side extension onto their home.

This will link to an existing garage which they hope to convert into a living space with a utility area, bathroom, study and playroom.

A new single garage will then be built at the front of the property.

The proposal is “acceptable in principle”, according to council documents.

The plans have been referred for committee scrutiny because Mrs Penney is a principal development management officer at Buckinghamshire Council (Wycombe Area).

The matter is due for debate during a West Buckinghamshire Area Planning Committee, on Tuesday, February 2.
