Buckinghamshire Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.

They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.

Here are five of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.

27 West Street, Marlow

A planning application has been submitted to convert a bookmakers in Marlow into a new Turkish takeaway.

Currently, William Hill occupies the premises. Developers have submitted in a proposal to submit a new restaurant which would be called Marlow Mangal.

The new restaurant would serve 'authentic Turkish kebabs and meze'.

The shop front alterations proposed are to replicate that of the neighbouring shopfront of Domino’s pizza which is located at 25 West Street.

Hazlemere Tennis Club, Hazlemere Recreation Ground, Amersham Road, Hazlemere 

A proposal has been put forward to build new floodlights at Hazlemere Tennis Club.

If the application is given the green light, six new floodlights will be erected on courts four and five.

37 London Road, High Wycombe 

A proposal has been submitted to build five new flats on London Road.

The plans consist of a new part two-storey and a part single-storey extension to the current property which is located at 37 London Road, at the junction with Harlow Road.

The proposal states that the developers wish to 'subdivide the property and make more efficient use of the space'.

46 Trees Road, Hughenden Valley 

A new house could be built in the Hughenden Valley.

The new property would be a four bedroom dwelling with the works including external alterations.

In order to make room for the new property, the existing house, barn, garage and shed will all have to be demolished.

Bockmer Farm, Medemenham

The application sets out a plan to erect a new agricultural storage building on this Bucks farm.

The new 'freestanding portal steel framed agricultural storage building' would be built in order to replace the current building that is beyond economic repair.

The building is being used for cattle storage, machinery storage and general farm storage.
