The police are looking for witnesses after a security guard was assaulted one evening.

At around 5.45pm on Thursday, January 21, a man in his 20s, who was working at the Asda store on Oakridge Park in Milton Keynes, was approached by a man who hit him in the face.

The assault caused a minor scratch which did not require any medical treatment.

The culprit has been described as a white man in his early 30s, around 5ft 8in tall with a stocky build.

He had short brown hair and was wearing a blue long-sleeved t-shirt.

Investigating officer PC Sophie Matthews, based at Milton Keynes police station said: “I am appealing for any witnesses of this incident to please come forward.

“There were a number of people in the store at the time who stopped and witnessed the incident who may have vital information that could help with our investigation.
