This week we have delved into our archives to bring you some Amersham scenes through the years.
This first picture, taken in around 1905, shows both sides of Whielden Street, with the Joyce and Co hardware shop on the left.
The shop is now a Jigsaw clothes store but the street itself does not look too different from 116 years ago, apart from being a little narrower.

This second picture from October 1962 shows a view of the southern end of Church Street and the tower of the parish church of St Mary.
The shop is now called Artisan but the church tower still stands proud.
