A major plan to redevelop a Gerrards Cross manor house into a new hotel has been submitted to Buckinghamshire Council.

The proposals for Bulstrode Manor include plans for 52 guest rooms including a royal suite, a restaurant with room for 120 diners, lobby and lounge spaces, conference and event spaces for up to 200 people, a spa, a kitchen and housekeeping facilities, new guest parking and accommodation for staff.

A new part single, part two storey extension could be built at the front of the site, alongside a single storey rear extension and a two storey and second floor linking extension.

The 1970s detached outbuildings at the front of the property at Bulstrode Manor on Oxford Road could be demolished as part of the plan.

The main house would provide the main entrance, restaurant, reception and lounges with the premier suites located on the floors above.

The east wing will be converted to meeting rooms with an extension providing space for conferences, functions and events. The remainder of the inner court would be converted into guest rooms.

A further 17 rooms are planned to be distributed around the two courtyards on the site with a further 11 ‘garden suites’ developed by refurbishing the cottages and bungalows located on the site.

The spa would be constructed in the space which is currently occupied by parking and garage space.

The staff accommodation would be provided in the form of a detached part single, part two storey accommodation block.
