Three people have been arrested on suspicion of burglary in the Aylesbury Vale.

This comes after a ‘suspicious vehicle entering farms in the Buckingham area’ was seen by several residents in North Marston and Oving, following a spate of thefts in Winslow, Wingrave, and Stoke Hammond.

It was also confirmed that two people had been arrested on suspicion of catalytic converter thefts following a proactive stop.

In a Facebook post that was published on Thursday, February 4, TVP Aylesbury Vale said: “Following a report to us from an eagle-eyed member of the public about a suspicious vehicle entering farms in the Buckingham area (*, unfortunately, it wasn't the Toyota from the earlier post).

“Officers from the Wing neighbourhood team located the vehicle and have arrested three persons on suspicion of burglary.

“All three are currently in custody while the investigation progresses.

“We also arrested two persons along with our Roads Policing colleagues on Tuesday on suspicion of catalytic converter thefts following a proactive stop.

“We are continuing to increase our patrols of the rural community.
