Buckinghamshire Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.

They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.

Here are five of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.

176 Oxford Road Marlow

A home owner in Marlow has submitted a planning application that could see a new detached garage and a studio building constructed at the rear of the property.

It would be built following the removal of the existing garage.

81 Station Road Marlow

An application that could see two new flats being built in Marlow has been put forward.

This proposal outlines plans to erect a new two storey rear extension to the existing building to create the new flats.

Alterations would be made to the parking at front.

77 Roberts Road High Wycombe

Three new flats could also be built in High Wycombe.

These properties would, similar to above, be constructed following the erection of a single storey rear extension.

A new bin store, three outbuildings and three cycle spaces would also be constructed.

8 High Street High Wycombe

A proposal to build two new flats in High Wycombe town centre.

The new properties would be built in space currently occupied for a courtyard.

Bunkers Yard, Hivings Hill, Chesham

An application has been submitted which aims at demolishing several commercial buildings in order to build five new houses in Chesham.

Developers hope to build three new terraced houses at the front of the site with a further two homes located at the rear of the site.

The commercial buildings that currently occupy the site were formerly used as workshops for carpentry firms.

Developers say that the current vacant site is in ‘disrepair due to the unviable business and costs associated with replacing what currently exists’.
