A driver who was "showing off" but only had a provisional licence was caught by police speeding at more than 100mph on the M40.
The learner driver in a VW Golf was pulled over by police after they were caught going at an average of 117mph between junction 5 and junction 6 on the motorway.

They were caught at 10.45pm on Thursday, February 4.
Thames Valley Police roads policing unit said: "This motorist caught our attention by zooming up the M40.
"A check showed an average of 117mph down the J5-6 Canyon.
"It transpired the driver only had a provisional licence. Driver reported to court and vehicle seized, all because he was ‘showing off’."
