This week we have delved into our archives to bring you High Wycombe town centre scenes from the 1970s.
The first archive picture shows a view from about 100 yards east of the junction with the High Street, of both sides of the eastern end of Easton Street.
The street still looks very similar today, and became two-way in 2019 for the first time in more than 40 years.
Slide each picture across to see what it looked like then and what it looks like now.

The second picture shows a view of the law courts building at the junction of Abbey Way and Easton Street in the 1970s.
The magistrates’ court still stands proud, but the streetscape itself has changed in the past 50 or so years.
