Amersham Underground station has become step-free after a hard fought battle by campaigners.
Transport for London (TfL) announced the station will be the 81st on its network to become step free.
Chesham and Amersham MP Dame Cheryl Gillan, who has been campaigning for this for more than seven years, said she is “delighted” the goal has now been achieved.

She said: “It has been a long campaign with many setbacks, but [the] announcement by Transport for London…is a well-deserved triumph for disability campaigners.”
She added: “There was disappointment when work on a passenger lift was postponed some years ago, but now all the work has been done to enable people to travel more easily.
