Marlow resident, who turned 90 today, has been rewarded with 300 shares in an Edinburgh based company for keeping his neighbour stocked with food during the pandemic.

Jim Mills arranged ready meals for neighbours who were unable to go food shopping during the coronavirus pandemic.

Ready meal supplier, Parsley box, is celebrating ‘Random act of Kindness Week’ by giving Jim shares in the company for his 90th birthday.

Jim’s daughter, Linda Raddon, believes that helping out his neighbours has kept him going after her mum passed away last year.

She said: “My mum died in September, having been nursed by my Dad for many years, and it is not an understatement to say that organising the Parsley Box order for his neighbours has been his lifeline.

"Looking after those around him has given him a purpose and a reason to keep going.”

He said: “Jim is an inaugural member of Parsley People, the name given to our extraordinary customers.

“We love taking calls from Jim, a retired food salesman, who has become a regular, placing orders for his neighbours to ensure they’re never low on meals.

“When we found out he had a big birthday coming up we wanted to spoil him.
