A BUCKS councillor is seeking permission for a new conservatory which he has already started building.

Cllr Majid Hussain seeks full planning permission for a single-storey rear conservatory, and steps leading to the garden of a two-storey end terrace on Spearing Road, in High Wycombe.

The application is part-retrospective because the foundations, steps and around 20 courses of brickwork have already been built, according to council documents.

Many neighbouring properties ‘already have extensions and alterations that are highly visible’, it states.

Bucks Free Press: “The development is located to the rear of the site and not visible from the street scene or further public domain,” a council officer wrote.

Overall size and scale are deemed “acceptable”.

The matter is due for debate during a West Buckinghamshire Area Planning Committee, on Tuesday, March 2.

The recommendation is for approval.
