The League Managers Association (LMA) panel, comprising Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Paul Ince, Dave Bassett, Barry Fry, Joe Royle and Rachel Yankey, saw Gareth Ainsworth and his side's heroics worthy of the prize.

Ainsworth said: "I’m delighted to accept the LMA Performance of the Week award on behalf of all the staff and players after our win at Huddersfield last week.

“Even at 2-0 down, I believed that we had what it takes to turn it around and we did really well to keep our composure, make a few tactical changes and take the game to Huddersfield.

“The goals we scored came as the result of some excellent attacking play, and the boys put their bodies on the line at the end to see out the result as well, so overall I was really pleased and it was an important win on the road for us.

“Thank you to the LMA panel for selecting us as the winner of this award.”

The Chairboys have since tasted defeat to Derby but will look for another three as they face Millwall this afternoon.
