Here is the latest update on mobile coronavirus testing centres in Buckinghamshire over the coming week

Coronavirus mobile testing sites will be up and running in a number of areas all across the county, as we head into the first week of March.

The mobile testing sites will be at:

• High Wycombe, on Friday, February 26, for up to four days, and again on Friday, 5 March for up to four days.

• Princes Risborough, on Saturday, February 27, and again on Saturday, 6 March.

• Buckingham, on Monday, March 1, for up to two days.

• Marlow, on Wednesday, March 3, for up to two days.

• Gerrards Cross, on Saturday, March 6, for up to two days

Walk-through testing sites are also open seven days a week at the Gateway Centre car park in Aylesbury and the Buckinghamshire New University campus in High Wycombe, and these will be in place for the foreseeable future.

A drive-in testing site is also now up and running at Aylesbury Vale Parkway Station.

These sites are open for use by anyone with coronavirus symptoms, and all tests must be booked first – they are not available on a ‘drop-in’ basis.

Gareth Williams, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Community Engagement at Buckinghamshire Council, said: “While I’m sure we are all relieved to see a planned roadmap out of our current situation, it is still vital that we continue to do everything possible to stop the spread of the virus.

“The vaccination rollout is going well in Buckinghamshire and infection rates are improving, but the situation remains serious.

“So please do get tested if you have any coronavirus symptoms – no matter how mild – and isolate unless you get a ‘negative’ result.

“Please also isolate if anyone in your household develops symptoms.

“In the meantime, please carry on following the ‘hands, face, space’ rules and avoid unnecessary travel.

“We must continue to work together to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe, and to protect our NHS and social care services.

"Thank you for all your efforts in this difficult time.”

Anyone with even mild symptoms is being encouraged to arrange a test to help stop the spread of the virus.

Symptoms include a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; or a loss or change to sense of smell or taste.
