Door-to-door Covid-19 testing in Wooburn Green and Flackwell Heath has been completed.

A total of 1,704 home testing kits were delivered to 1,094 households in Flackwell Heath and 2,950 tests were delivered to 2,527 households in Wooburn Green.

In addition to this over 1,400 people were tested at the mobile testing unit at Wooburn Green.

Anyone who tested positive in the testing will be contacted by the NHS Track and Trace service.

Following this, all positive tests will undergo genomic sequencing.

Any people who have tested posititive for the South African variant or any other specific variants of concern will be contacted by The Health Protection team from Public Health England.

These people will then be asked for more information to help enhanced contact tracing.

This sequencing is estimated to take 'a few weeks' to be completed.

“It was a huge effort by both local people and the team of volunteers who have been in the area to help get the testing done.”
