A Bucks-based property investor and development company have chosen to fund a student at Nottingham Trent University.

Jansons Property, which is based in Beaconsfield, launched the Alexander Jansons Bursary in Property Development and Planning to fund a student from a low-income family for the duration of their studies whilst at university.

The bursary relates to a £20,000 non-repayable donation which will be awarded to one undergraduate student.

The university will select a student studying towards an undergraduate degree in Property Development and Planning for the 2021/22 academic year.

The student will also be welcomed to visit Jansons Property’s main office in Beaconsfield, where they can get first-hand experience of life in the property and development industry.

Jansons Property’s MD, Andy Jansons, said: “As someone who entered the real estate world through a non-traditional route, my goal is to make the property sector more accessible to those who might not see it as a feasible path.

"I was brought up speaking little English and I faced many challenges to get to where I am today.

“The property sector offers a wealth of career opportunities, but for young people, it’s often difficult to get a foot on the career ladder.

“Jansons Property would like to play a part in changing that.”

“Entering the workforce can be a tough environment for new graduates, so I hope that this bursary encourages students to aim high.”

The Alexander Jansons Bursary, Jansons Property is in the process of arranging a mentorship for one student each year from Nottingham Trent University during their year in industry.
