Thames Valley Police have confirmed why there was a heavy police presence in a Bucks village in the early hours of the morning last week.
On Wednesday, March 3, several police officers were seen in the Queensway area of Chalfont St Peter and Gerrards Cross.
The authorities were seen ‘knocking on people’s doors’ in the area which caused concern to worried residents, but the reasons have now been explained.

“Our officers attended but no trace of anything was found.
They also speculated the Met had ‘attended an address elsewhere that they thought maybe linked but also found nothing.’
