KFC has revealed the locations across the UK that are being eyed up as part of their expansion - including another one for High Wycombe.

The fast-food chain is looking for an extra 500 sites to expand its portfolio of drive-thrus and restaurants.

Several areas in Buckinghamshire have been earmarked as ‘target locations’ for new KFC restaurants.

The fried chicken takeaway chain wants to open up a drive thru restaurant in Amersham, and one in High Wycombe North.

It was revealed in January that KFC had submitted plans for a new restaurant in the former Lloyds Bank unit in Sycamore Road, Amersham, but this seems to be in addition to a drive thru restaurant.

Both the Amersham and High Wycombe North areas were on KFC's target location list back in 2019, so it doesn't seem like they have made much progress on these plans since then.

KFC also has Buckingham and Milton Keynes East on its target list for new drive thru restaurants.

Maidenhead, Slough East and Slough West are also on the list, but these would be relocated restaurants rather than a completely new ones.

The ideal location for the new restaurants will have enough room for 25 car parking spaces and a minimum of 0.50 acres although this can be reduced when part of a development and sharing car parking.

KFC was first introduced to the UK in 1965 with its first branch in Preston, but today it operates 850 outlets in the country.

High Wycombe already has two KFC branches - one on Kingsmead Retail Park and another in Frogmoor, but it doesn't have any drive thru restaurants in the town.
