The school tested over 400 students a day across Thursday (March 4) to Sunday (March 7) to allow students to return to the face to face teaching as soon as possible.

With nine testing bays built at the school called upon staff, parents, and the wider Marlow community to help run the programme.

The Headteacher, Kay Mountfield praised the efforts of everyone involved to help get pupils back in school from Monday morning.

Children across the country have been in lockdown since Christmas and Borlase students, like most students, have been learning through their virtual school since January 4th.

Miss Mountfield also commended the enormous commitment of the teachers and support staff for their work in Borlase@home.

She continued: "I am incredibly proud of all our staff, students and parents for making the Borlase@home experience work.

“As was the case in schools in Buckinghamshire and beyond, teachers continued improving and developing their pedagogy, student engagement was excellent and support staff continued to support the mental wellbeing of the students.

“The sports staff at Borlase also led virtual training sessions to encourage physical fitness. This has been a superb team effort."

However, the Headteacher believes learning at home cannot compare with the experience of being at school.

She added: "School is so much more than attending lessons and following academic courses"

"School is about being with friends, learning together, enjoying wider activities and having fun.

“We are delighted to see them all back at school."
