A "monster" 200-year-old tree crashed down across a busy road this morning, cutting off a major access to a village.
The huge poplar tree fell across Bradenham Wood Lane in Naphill, which links the village to the A4010.
It happened during rush hour this morning (Thursday) amid strong winds.
An eyewitness told the Bucks Free Press that fortunately no one was hurt, but a neighbour's fence was damaged by the fallen tree that they described as a "monster".
They praised workmen who were on their way to work who stopped and used their electric saw to cut through the tree so traffic could continue down the road before Transport for Bucks arrived at the scene.
