Here are a few of the most interesting planning applications submitted to Buckinghamshire Council for decision last week.

  • Wormsley Estate, Stokenchurch - temporary use of land for film-making purposes (21/05605/FUL)

A nearly identical planning application to one made for West Wycombe Estate (see page 8) has also been submitted for the picturesque Wormsley Estate in Stokenchurch.

They want to use the site for a period of 25 weeks between April 19 and October 8.

Again, the film-makers say they will be using the land to create a “small” timber building to film.

They added that the land is “isolated” from public view, so no residents would be harmed by the plans.

  • Land rear of 2 and 3 Queensway and 352 Amersham Road, Hazlemere - five new homes with bin and cycle storage (21/05541/FUL)

Bristal Investments Ltd have revealed plans for five houses within two and a half storey blocks with car parking, bin storage and landscaping.

They will all be two-bed houses and there will be parking for eight vehicles provided via an access linking to Amersham Road.

One neighbour has already complained that they received notification of the plans on March 10, giving them just 16 days to respond publicly, and urged the council to extend the period for comments to be made.

  • Marlow Road Service Station, High Wycombe - Replacement of existing fuel tanks, pumps, fills, fuel lines, forecourt surfacing with minor alteration to pedestrian access around the site and raising of canopy (21/05515/FUL)

The Esso petrol station on Marlow Road looks like it will be getting a makeover, with all of the existing pumps and forecourt surfacing being replaced, with separate plans also submitted to replace the signage.
