Russell Brand and his wife Laura have become ambassadors for a "fantastic" High Wycombe food bank.

Back in November last year, the celebrity, who lives in the Marlow area, shared how Manchester United footballer and poverty campaigner Marcus Rashford had inspired him to help out One Can Trust foodbank in High Wycombe.

The High Wycombe food bank, based in Duke Street, provides emergency food parcels to people in crisis in the town as well as Marlow and south Bucks.

Now, the comedian and actor and his wife Laura have been announced as ambassadors for the vital charity.

One Can Trust said they were "delighted" the pair had agreed to take on the role.

Russell said: "Laura and me are really happy to do our small bit to help this fantastic organisation provide much needed help."

Since the start of the pandemic, the need for One Can Trust's food parcels has tripled.

They have helped feed 68,647 adults and children as of August 2020.
