A woman has appeared in court charged with sexual activity with a teenager at a secure Buckinghamshire training centre.

Ashley Wright, 26, is charged with sending a sexual letter to the 15-year-old.

Wimbledon Magistrates court also heard there were four other charges against her.

These were exploiting a position of trust when she was expected to know the boy was not over the age of consent of 16-years-old and one count of sexual communication with a child.

Magistrates were also told of two further charges of sexual activity with a child.

No pleas were taken, but Jagvir Sangherra, defending, said: "In essence, the defendant is not the author of that letter."

The alleged offences occurred between May 13, 2019, and January 31, 2020, at different locations including a 'secure training centre' in Buckinghamshire, police have said.

All five charges were committed to Kingston Crown Court for the next hearing on April 20.

Wright, of Wigston in Leicestershire, was granted bail on condition to not contact directly or indirectly the alleged victim or his family, to not enter the M25 area other than for court hearings and to not make contact with anyone under 18 years old unless she is supervised.
